Job Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical research studies at the Ifakara Health Institute. This role involves coordinating with principal investigators, managing study protocols, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, and supervising data collection and management processes. The coordinator will liaise between research teams, participants, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth study execution. Additionally, the role includes training and supervising research assistants, maintaining study documentation, and preparing reports for funding agencies and ethical review boards. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical research or a related field; familiarity with clinical trial protocols and regulatory requirements; strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency in data management software; ability to work in a team-oriented environment; experience in a research setting in Tanzania is an advantage.
