Design and Engineering Senior Technician

This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for road and infrastructure projects, analyzing tender documents, and ensuring competitive bidding strategies. The engineer will collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to develop accurate cost projections, evaluate material requirements, and assess labor costs. Responsibilities include conducting site visits to gather data, preparing feasibility studies, and submitting tender proposals to clients. The position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in cost estimation software, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic construction environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; minimum of 2 years of experience in cost estimation and tender preparation for road and infrastructure projects; proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, or specialized tools like Candy or Primavera); strong analytical and numerical skills; familiarity with Ethiopian construction standards and regulations; excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
