Superintendent II, Mining
Job Description
The Kipushi Project S.A. is seeking a Superintendent II, Mining to manage and coordinate the efforts of a team at the KICO mine to safely and efficiently extract ore to meet production targets. This role involves overseeing direct reports and specialists to achieve Meters and Tons targets aligned with organizational strategy and objectives. The Superintendent II will be responsible for embedding effective and efficient production processes, plans, and governance structures, leading tactical direction setting, and driving problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires advanced skills in business knowledge, management experience, budgeting/finance, training experience, and proficiency in SHEQ standards and computer skills. The role plays a critical part in coordinating a world-class mining function at the KICO mine.
Requirements
Blasting Certificate and Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency; Minimum of 8 years mining experience with 5 years as a Shift Supervisor; Excellent track record with similar experience in an African mining environment advantageous; Proficiency in French and English preferred; 5 years underground experience; Mechanised Mining Experience; Geology experience/knowledge; SHEQ standards knowledge; Computer skills
