Job Description
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking dedicated field staff to provide medical and humanitarian assistance in Rwanda. The role involves delivering healthcare services in challenging environments, often in remote or conflict-affected areas. Responsibilities include conducting medical consultations, managing patient care, coordinating with local health authorities, and ensuring adherence to MSF medical protocols. Field staff will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, logisticians, and community health workers. The position requires adaptability, resilience, and a strong commitment to MSF’s principles of neutrality, impartiality, and independence. Field staff may also be involved in emergency response efforts, training local healthcare providers, and implementing public health programs.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a relevant medical or humanitarian field; medical degree (MD) or nursing degree (RN) preferred; experience working in low-resource settings; proficiency in English and French (additional local languages like Kinyarwanda are a strong asset); ability to work under pressure and in difficult conditions; valid medical license; willingness to work in remote locations; strong teamwork and communication skills; prior experience with MSF or similar organizations is highly desirable.
