Medical Officer – Gulu

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients at our Gulu facility, adhering to the 'Patient first' ideology of Care IHK. Primary duties include diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and care. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to deliver holistic medical services. Additionally, the Medical Officer will participate in health education initiatives, community outreach programs, and continuous professional development to maintain clinical excellence. The position requires adherence to medical ethics, infection control protocols, and hospital policies while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution; Valid medical license to practice in Uganda; Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting; Strong diagnostic and clinical skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; Proficiency in medical software and electronic health records systems; Knowledge of Ugandan healthcare regulations and standards; Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
