National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG) Technical Officer (SSA-NO-B)

The National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG) Technical Officer will provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to support Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health in strengthening the national immunization program. The role involves analyzing immunization landscapes, synthesizing evidence, and informing policy decisions for program improvement, new vaccine introduction, vaccine optimization, and disease prevention strategies. The officer will collaborate with government agencies, international partners, and technical experts to enhance immunization coverage and reduce vaccine-preventable diseases. Key responsibilities include conducting data-driven assessments, developing policy briefs, and supporting the implementation of WHO immunization guidelines. The position requires close coordination with national and subnational health authorities to address immunization challenges and promote evidence-based decision-making.

Master’s degree/Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Management/Public Administration/Human Resource Management/Personnel Management/Leadership/Natural Science/Computer Science or related field; experience in public health, immunization programs, or health policy is highly desirable; strong analytical and synthesis skills; proficiency in data analysis tools and evidence-based decision-making; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities; familiarity with WHO immunization guidelines and global health frameworks; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams; commitment to WHO’s values and ethical standards.
