Project Management Support - Senior Officer
Job Description
The Project Management Support Senior Officer will primarily support a project focused on implementing the new national organized crime strategy 2026-2030 in Ukraine. This role involves contributing to the effective implementation, coordination, and monitoring of project activities to ensure successful delivery of results within scope, time, cost, and quality parameters. The Senior Officer provides analytical and operational support in project planning, execution, and reporting; contributes to risk and performance management; and ensures timely communication with partners and stakeholders. Through proactive client focus and problem-solving, the role helps drive efficient project delivery and achievement of results in line with organizational and donor/client expectations. Key responsibilities include developing and updating detailed implementation plans, providing logistical and operational support for missions and workshops, integrating sustainability, social inclusion, and gender equality considerations, supporting Health, Safety, Social, and Environmental (HSSE) standards, conducting field missions to monitor implementation, coordinating narrative and financial report preparation, tracking project progress against indicators, maintaining monitoring tools, building and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders, facilitating communication and coordination, supporting training and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and conducting research on project management topics.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in project management, international development, public administration, business administration, or a related field; minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, preferably in peacebuilding, humanitarian, or development contexts; demonstrated experience in project planning, monitoring, and reporting; strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities; proficiency in English (additional UN languages are an asset); familiarity with UNOPS policies, procedures, and standards; experience working in complex environments and with diverse stakeholders; knowledge of HSSE standards and sustainability principles; ability to travel as required.
