Customer Service Officer
Job Description
The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing efficient, professional, and customer-focused services while supporting daily operations within a financial institution. The role involves assisting customers with account services, responding to inquiries, resolving customer issues, promoting financial products and services, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The Customer Service Officer plays an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction and building strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities - Provide professional and timely customer service to clients and respond to inquiries effectively. - Assist customers with account opening, account maintenance, transactions, and service requests. - Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions or escalate issues when necessary. - Provide accurate information regarding financial products, services, and organizational procedures. - Support customer retention and relationship-building initiatives. - Promote available financial products and services to existing and potential customers. - Maintain accurate customer records and ensure proper documentation of transactions. - Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. - Support daily branch or office operations to ensure smooth service delivery. - Maintain confidentiality and security of customer information. - Prepare reports and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Management, or a related field. Experience - Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Microfinance, Banking, or a related financial service field. - Experience in customer service, financial operations, or client relationship management is preferred. Required Competencies - Strong customer service and relationship management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Good knowledge of financial services and customer handling procedures. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Attention to detail and accuracy in handling customer information and transactions. - Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet service targets. - Good organizational and time management skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and financial systems is an advantage. - High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
