The Research Officer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing research projects aimed at generating high-quality scientific evidence to improve public health outcomes. This position involves conducting fieldwork, data collection, and analysis in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The officer will be responsible for drafting research proposals, preparing reports, and disseminating findings to stakeholders, including policymakers and healthcare practitioners. Additionally, the role requires active participation in team meetings, adherence to ethical research standards, and ensuring compliance with institutional guidelines. The work environment is dynamic, often involving travel to rural and urban research sites across Tanzania and potentially other African regions.

Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of professional experience in health research; demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis; strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata); ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams; familiarity with ethical research practices and regulatory frameworks.
