Health and Safety Officer

BondRich Advisory Group is seeking a proactive Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. The role involves conducting regular workplace inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks. The officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining health and safety policies, organizing safety training sessions for employees, and investigating incidents to prevent recurrence. Additionally, the officer will liaise with regulatory bodies, prepare safety reports, and ensure adherence to national and international safety standards. The position requires strong communication skills to foster a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field. • Professional certification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in a consultancy or corporate environment. • Strong knowledge of Ugandan and international health and safety regulations and standards. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees at all levels. • Ability to conduct risk assessments, develop safety policies, and implement safety programs. • Proficient in using health and safety software and tools. • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating workplace hazards.
