Job Description

Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and cost plans. Job descriptions & requirements - Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and cost plans. - Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed quotations. - Assist in project planning by providing accurate cost forecasts and financial projections. - Monitor project costs and recommend corrective measures where necessary. - Attend site surveys and inspections to gather information for cost estimation. - Monitor project progress against approved budgets and timelines. - Conduct site measurements and verify completed works. - Identify project risks that may impact costs or schedules and recommend appropriate solutions. - Administer contracts with nominated subcontractors. - Prepare subcontract agreements and maintain contract documentation. - Assess work completed and process subcontractor payment certificates. - Monitor contract compliance and manage contract variations where applicable. - Prepare and submit site progress reports to clients. - Maintain accurate project records, cost reports, and documentation. - Prepare valuation reports and final project accounts. - Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors throughout project execution. - Prepare and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. - Support procurement activities by reviewing pricing and technical specifications. - Recommend cost-effective materials and procurement options while maintaining project quality standards.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field. At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in project planning, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract administration. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and other standard computer applications. Strong analytical, numerical, and report-writing skills. Excellent analytical and cost management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective planning and organizational skills. Negotiation and contract management abilities.
