Job Description
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the Nursing Council of Kenya. Key responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing financial and human resources, fostering partnerships with stakeholders, and driving the council’s mission to regulate the nursing profession in Kenya. The CEO will report directly to the Council Board and work closely with government ministries, professional bodies, and healthcare institutions to enhance the quality of nursing services.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field; Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration; Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare or a regulatory body; Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya as a registered nurse; Strong knowledge of healthcare policies, regulations, and standards; Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills; Proficiency in financial management and resource allocation.
