Health Educator
Job Description
The Health Educator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating health education programs aimed at improving community health outcomes. This role involves conducting needs assessments to identify health priorities, developing culturally appropriate educational materials, and delivering training sessions to community health workers and the general public. The Health Educator will collaborate with local health authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure program alignment with national health strategies. Additionally, the role includes monitoring and reporting on program impact, maintaining accurate records, and providing regular feedback to stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Nursing, or a related field; at least 2 years of experience in health education or community health programs; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop educational materials; experience in training and capacity building; proficiency in Kinyarwanda and English (French is a plus); knowledge of Rwanda’s health system and policies.
