Payable Accountant

Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation. The role requires the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers, reconciling financial discrepancies, and maintaining up-to-date records of all transactions. The position involves close collaboration with procurement, finance, and vendor teams to ensure smooth payment processing and adherence to company policies.

Must have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage; Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance role; Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle); Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; Excellent communication and customer service abilities; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
