Medical Officer
Job Description
Shalom Medical Center is seeking a qualified Medical Officer to oversee clinical operations, provide high-quality patient care, and ensure adherence to medical standards and protocols. The Medical Officer will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, managing medical emergencies, and supervising junior medical staff. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans, conducting regular medical examinations, and maintaining accurate patient records. The position requires strong leadership skills to mentor and guide medical staff, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Additionally, the Medical Officer will participate in community health initiatives and public health campaigns to promote wellness and disease prevention.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent; Valid medical license from the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council; Minimum of 3 years of post-internship clinical experience; Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations; Knowledge of medical software and electronic health records systems; Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient confidentiality.
